On Saturday 25th January 2025, the awards presentation evening for the 2024 Darley Moor club championships took place. As usual, the room was packed to the brim with 250+ attendees and it was a fantastic evening that everyone enjoyed.
The team and trophies
Having won the Darley Cup and 700cc Twins championships in 2024, we were called up twice to collect trophies from Isle of Man TT legend John McGuinness, 'Stars at Darley' winner Charlie Nesbitt and ex-Darley regular (and now extremely accomplished road racer) Rob Hodson. We walked away with 4 trophies in total.
It was the first time that our kids had joined us to an awards evening and I was surprised when Lucy asked if she could join me when collecting my awards. As Lucy is quite shy - and can sometimes lack confidence - I was happy that she could join me in the celebrations!

Our name now features an impressive six times on the 700cc Twins trophy (for 2016, 2017, 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2024).
We are the only name on the Darley Cup trophy, having won it twice but on different machinery - using the Kawasaki ZX6R in 2023, then following a rule change using the Aprilia RS660 in 2024.
Along with the recent Aintree Awards Presentation, we also have the Wirral 100 awards presentation to attend on Saturday 15th February 2025. Whilst waiting for that you can find further photos of the Darley Moor evening on our Facebook Page.
