The freshly rebuilt (silver) engine has been fit, run in and then removed from the bike - so that it is ready for use within the 2016 season if we encounter any issues with the black engine. The black engine had its gearbox inspected and fixed (5 gears, 2 bearings and a selector fork were needed to fix it!) and has been fit back into the bike. Both engines are identical in specification.
With the first race meeting of our 2016 season just over a month away, we thought we would provide you with an update of what has happened over the winter. As you may have already seen, we have installed new Brembo front brakes and are now the 'class sponsor' for the Formula Darley class at Darley Moor. Our new paddock wear has been received and distributed, so we'll look a little fresher around the paddock this season - and we also have some new race leathers being made, so we'll also look a little fresher on track this season too :-) The 2015 Darley Moor 'Runner Up' trophies have been collected and have found a new home alongside our other championship trophies. As usual, the Darley Moor Awards night was well run and was great fun - we even got to mingle with the likes of John McGuinness... Our provisional race dates have now been confirmed - so all race entry forms have been completed and we will be running #88 at all Darley Moor and BEMSEE race meetings this season, so if you pop along to any of the meetings please stop by and say Hi! :-)
